FACTS ABOUT THE IOWA NUT GROWERS ASSOCIATION

The Iowa Nut Growers Association is a non-profit corporation affiliated with the Iowa Stale Horticultural Society. The Iowa Nut Growers was organized to promote the planting and caring for of nut bearing trees within the state of Iowa.

Trading and exchanging between members of seedling trees, seed and graft wood of superior nut trees is a highlight of many meetings. It is through these exchanges of ideas, knowledge and growing materials that this organization and the state of Iowa have become recognized as a center of knowledge and growth of American nut trees.

Although the name, The Iowa Nut Growers Association implies a limit to the memberships' interests, each member is extremely interested in all aspects of horticulture. Whenever our members gather, anything that grows is a possibility for inspection and appreciation. In addition to nut trees most of the membership is also involved in growing of fruit trees, vegetables and flowers.

Appreciation for nature and things that grow in the state of Iowa is the common thread which binds the members of the Iowa Nut Growers Association.
